NORA HERTING: Community Portraits, Free Sitting I, II & III 2009-2010

STAND ALONE GALLERY collaborated with Nora Herting on a three-part installation
over a two year span. Stand Alone Gallery served as a portable portrait studio for
Nora Herting, a Brooklyn based performance artist. Nora examines the relationship
of the photographer to subject in conjunction with the banal unreality of the
staged portrait.

ERIC BRAUN: RFC1087 2009

Stand Alone Gallery’s premiere one night exhibition in New York City, proved to be
as rewarding as challenging. Working closely with artist Erik Braun and Mark Herschede,
Master Printer of Haven Press we devised a method of printing and hanging his
large scale typographic canvas prints.

GROUP SHOW: Fantasy Homes 2008

Stand Alone Gallery was erected on an old factory foundation in the Castleberry
Arts District of Atlanta. Curator, Patrick Coll assembled a group show of various
artists revolving around the ubiquitous theme of Fantasy Homes featuring painters,
printmakers, sculptors and new media artists from the Atlanta/Savannah area.

GROUP SHOW: Excursion 2008

The first exhibition of Stand Alone Gallery, Excursion was the trial and success
of the transient gallery form. Erected adjacent to the former Arthouse Co-Op,
SAG featured the work of various painters, printmakers, photographers and
assembly artists.  Each artist was encouraged to explore the theme of transience,
especially the knowledge gained through travel and experience.
